The area’s leading business networking group, B2B Tamworth, won the Economic Regeneration Award at the recent South Staffordshire Regeneration Awards emerging victorious from over 50 entries and 5 businesses shortlisted.

Demonstrating their indomitable team spirit 10 group members attended the awards event. Cath Ward, Bevan Fox Insurance Brokers, B2B Tamworth Co-Chair commented “This is a huge honour for us and just proves that what we are doing works!!!”

David Kemp, DK Electrical, B2B Co-Chair added “At B2B there is no pressure to pass referrals. For us the amount of business genuinely generated is the most important measure of our success.”

The club was set up in January 2009 and to July 2012 has generated over £1,000,000 of invoiced business for its members accross its two groups.

B2B Tamworth was originally founded by 9 local businesses, joining the already sucessful banner of B2B after the launch of the Walsall group 6 months earlier, and despite being told the project was doomed to failure; B2B soon established themselves as one of the strongest and certainly the most dynamic business to business networking groups operating in the Tamworth and Lichfield area.

The group is independent, run for its members by its members and regularly runs training and social events for the benefit of all. The purpose of the group is to build strong relationships and become each other’s sales force generating sales for one another’s businesses. Meeting every week, members benefit from the expertise of the other businesses in the room. For example a business can ask a question of a marketing professional, a solicitor, an accountant or a quality expert over breakfast.
